Flooring
We supply every type of flooring for hire. However it is only as good as the area we are laying it over, if the grass is long (i.e. field) and not mowed tightly the floor will not sit well. The key advice is to mow the grass with a lawn mower and collect the cuttings.
Matting is the most cost efficient and popular way of providing flooring, it looks good and easy to clean (very environmentally friendly because we can pressure wash it down).
Carpet this can be laid straight on to the ground (with plastic sheet under it) or on wooden floor. Carpet costs nearly twice as much as matting, wooden floor & matting costs four times as much. The carpet may only get used once or twice then thrown away!
The flooring is the one thing that you don’t see much of once the dance floor, furniture and is full of people. What is the colour of the carpet in your local pub / restaurant, most people have no idea!
I would recommend spending your money on the linings / starlight or flowers / decorations, as it is what is at eye level that gets noticed first. Having said that we are quite happy to put any floor down the customer requires.
Out Side Walkways the best product for this is event flooring, green hard plastic matting, it can be used inside although we are not fans of this.
Dance Floors we stock three types;
- The mahogany which is excellent, 8 ft x 2ft & 4ft x 2 ft sections and we build it as big as required, works very well in this environment.
- Parquet we use mainly in hotels.
- The new black & white checker dance floor. Truly stunning.
